About the book

Qatra min al-Hayah (A Drop of Life) is a collection of more than twenty Arabic stories, “stories from the heartbeat and letters to the soul.” Between the waves of the sea, the lights of cities and the tears of regret, the reader discovers that every heart has a door of return and every journey a safe shore.

The stories move between scenes of loss, the joy of return, struggles within the self, and messages of loyalty and hope: the sea as a mirror of the heart, the city that switches off its lights to awaken consciences, the friend of yesterday whom the days have changed, the tear of regret that came too late, and doors of return that opened from where no one expected.

The book closes with a distinctive story woven on the famous Ta’iyya poem of Abu Ishaq al-Ilbiri, turning its verses into narrative scenes full of admonition and awakening. These are not stories for entertainment, but an invitation to reflection, messages for action, and a call to hearts to return to Allah before the book of life is closed.
