This Arabic book addresses the persecution and contempt that Muslims face in many parts of the world, and argues from the Qur’an, the Sunnah and the understanding of the Companions, the Successors and the scholars that a Muslim remains honoured before Allah even when people belittle him, and that trials are a test of patience and a means of reward rather than a sign of worthlessness.
It draws lessons from the patience of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and of earlier prophets, including Ibrahim, Shu’ayb, Yusuf, Musa and Lut, and from Companions such as Mus’ab ibn ‘Umayr. It then asks whether worldly comfort is a sign of honour with Allah, why unbelievers may enjoy ease while Muslims are afflicted, and why Islam and the Qur’an meet such hostility, and closes with the believer’s duties in times of trial, foremost among them supplication, and practical recommendations for preserving Muslim identity.
The book is available in the Alukah Network library in PDF and Word formats, and its LaTeX source and PDF are on GitHub.
