Article Series
A series of edited benefits from Sharh 'Ilal al-Tirmidhi by the hafiz Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali, based on the edition of Dr. Nur al-Din 'Itr. The first article introduces the series and its method and explains al-Tirmidhi's shorter and longer 'Ilal; the second covers al-Tirmidhi's sources for reporting the positions of the jurists and the defects of hadith. It is separate from the series on Ibn Rajab's commentary carried over from the earlier blog.
